The Local Authorities Pension Plan (LAPP), in association with LAPP's administrator, Alberta Pensions Services Corporation (APS), values and respects your privacy and ensures necessary processes and systems are in place to protect your privacy and personal information.  

As LAPP’s service provider, APS will occasionally collect personal information from you in the course of administering your pension benefits. This information is protected by the provisions of the Alberta Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP) Act and Regulation.

Examples of personal information include:

  • Social Insurance Number
  • Personal identification number
  • Date of birth or proof of age
  • Earnings
  • Employment or financial history
